While initially touring Elysia Vineyard (where the winery now rests) a large granite rock was discovered, perfectly split in half. Local rumours say it was hit by lightning during a spring storm. A true reflection of the land – perched halfway up this thermal producing volcanic ridge – it aligns perfectly with our desire to create electric, juicy wines.

Vigneron, Sébastien Hotte, is a graduate of Washington State University and a certified sommelier from the École Hôtelière des Laurentides who believes in low-intervention winemaking. Lightning Rock is known for crafting benchmark traditional method bubbles and Pinot Noir. We are family and dog friendly. Tasting fees are $10 per guest, non-refundable.

In addition to day-time tastings, we will be hosting several exciting new after-hour events this year. Join us for live-music and food trucks on the last Friday of each month from May to October, movie nights on the lawn and pop-up dinners throughout the summer. and the venue is available for rent for weddings and special occasions.
